Room to Grow Music Class

This parented class for children 0-4 provides a child centered environment that allows children to explore their musical capabilities through rhythm, movement, instruments, and song.  Throughout the session children will gain an awareness of how rhythm and beat are used to make music.  They will be exposed to and gain experience with a variety of instrument families, instruments created from materials around the home and an awareness of the use of their body as an instrument.  They will become familiar with different ways they are able to respond to musical selections and develop composition skills as they create their own musical selections.  They will also be exposed to different genres of music, including music from a variety of different cultures.The ideal family class!  Music classes run Tuesday, October 5-December 7 from 1:45-2:30 PM and Saturday, October 16-December 18 from 9:15-10:00 AM.  The cost is $180.
